California Beach Dive Photo Competition 2008

On Saturday and Sunday, May 31 and June 1, SCUBA divers from Seattle to San Diego will converge on Monterey, California to compete for top prizes in one of the most unique underwater photo competitions in the United States. This is a one-day competition which is open to all underwater photographers of all experience levels. All photos (digital or film), must be taken from beach dives along the Monterey coastline on Saturday, May 31. A panel of judges, comprised of professional photographers, will select the winners on Sunday, June 1, with the winners being announced and prizes awarded on Sunday afternoon.
The entry fee includes film and processing for film photographers, catered Saturday evening dinner and featured presentation, t-shirt, and an opportunity to win a door prize at the awards show on Sunday, June 1. Approximately $20,000 in prizes will be available as awards, including gear and trips to exotic dive destinations.
