Ocean Village Adds New Activities to Action Ashore

From the traditional cruising activities, Ocean Village offers an expanded Action Ashore program for this summer. Rock climbing, helicopter sight-seeing, and scuba diving are just some of the 20 new activities included on the seven- and 14-night sailing trips in the eastern and western Mediterranean.
Gill Haynes, head of Ocean Village’s Marketing Communications, said the Action Ashore program promises to be a big hit for the season. He said 70% of their passengers take one of the many options available daily.
The rock climbing activity will be held in St. Raphael, France with a 40-meter abseil back down, while helicopter sight-seeing will fly around Barcelona, Spain. Participants of cruising and swimming may enjoy the beauty of Rhodes, Greece or dive deep down the oceans of Ephesus, Turkey with scuba gear. These are added to the seven-night Mediterranean cruise, starting at only £599 per person.
