Cayman Boyscouts Completed Scuba Diving Program

The Cayman Island Boyscouts were able to complete their certification on scuba diving full scholarships from Divetech Ltd. The four days course includes classroom work, final exam sessions in the pool as well as four ocean dives.
The organization strongly believes that scuba diving offers variety of career opportunities for young people that are interested in the marine environment and an outdoor workplace. Examples of the opportunities range from scuba instructors in the tourism sector, and commercial, photo/video, military, police, environment and scientific work.
The scouts participated in beach cleanups and other community service activities to contribute to their education and many of the scouts will be carrying on in their diving education this spring by enrolling in the Advanced Open Water course. Divetech Ltd. further said that young Caymanians can be groomed for in the field of Scuba Diving.
