USS Wahoo Found by Russian Divers

Moscow Russia – The wreckage of the legendary USS Wahoo was finally found by Russian Divers.
The USS Wahoo was lost in the Pacific in 1943. It was sunk by the Japanese Navy as it returned from its seventh patrol. It was said that a diving team from the Far Eastern State Technological University in Vladivostok found the submarine in the La Perouse Strait.
There were no further details given.
Wahoo, named after a dark blue food fish of Florida and the West Indies, have long been believed to be resting in La Perouse Strait. It has been 16 years since an international team of Americans, Australians, Japanese and Russians has been searching for her based on the evidences available.
It was in 2005 when it was believed that the submarine was in the Strait. It was of July the following year when a team investigated the site which added further evidence to its real location. And finally, a month after, the ITAR-Tass news agency confirmed that Russian Divers found the wreckage of the long lost USS Wahoo.
