Nassau Scuba Diving

Nassau Scuba Diving Nassau is the capital of and the largest city in the Bahamas. It is located at the Island of New Providence, one of the smallest islands in the Bahamas.

Visitors enjoy walking around and seeing the colorful Bahamian architecture, and the houses are painted with bright colors, creating a joyful atmosphere. They also enjoy different kinds of sports – on land and in water. Nassau is an ideal place for parasailing, Canoeing, Jet Skiing, Snorkeling, Fishing, Golf, and tennis. One of the most notable activities that the island has to offer is Scuba Diving.

Nassau has clear, serene waters and a wide diversity of aquatic life. Turtle grass bed and coral reefs are spectacular. Exploring schools of fish, shrimps, lobsters, crabs, mollusks, sponges, jellyfish, sea anemones, and comb jellies is an unforgettable experience.

One the most famous Diving resorts in Nassau is the Stuart Cove’s. It offers Diving courses for visitors who may want to try an exquisite Diving experience. The resort’s professional divers give about three hours of briefing and training to bring the visitors down there and discover the underwater environment.

The dive programs of the resorts usually start with a briefing about the basics of Diving. There is also a pool training in which the visitors will learn the fundamental underwater skills. After learning the basics, the instructor then lets the visitors to dive in shallow water. The instructor does not just teach others how to dive; he or she also guides the visitors as they discover the wonderful underwater treasure of the Bahamas.

Visitors who are at least 12 years old, capable of carrying a 40-pound tank on their backs, and in good physical health are allowed to take the course. Children under 18 are advised to participate with a parent or guardian.

Moreover, a two-tank package is offered to certified divers and junior divers. The divers will be taken to the most famous Diving spots. Reefs which are 40 to 60 feet below the surface and Tongue of the Ocean offer a unique Diving experience. The two-tank dive will be a combination of a wall and wreck, wall and reef, or wreck and reef.
