KEEP DIVING! Seek advice from other divers too and find someone whom you really trust when practicing. Learn everything and be familiar with what it is that you really fear. Convince yourself that there's NOTHING to fear about. The technical aspects of diving may be scary at times. The only answerS are: EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Start by breathing with your face in the water only with your snorkel, w/o mask. Then try doing it again with the regulator, w/o mask. When you're finally at ease, inflate your bcd. Swim around the pool using your regulator and mask on. Also try to watch other divers and see how things look from an observer's view. When you feel comfortable, try to do what you feel are the easier skills that would work for you when breathing underwater.

If you are rushing and pressured to get things done quickly, most likely you'll be really scared. It is never natural for human beings to breathe underwater. So its pretty normal to take time to get used to the activity. Try not to keep in your mind that you are underwater or how long you have been staying there. Instead try to stay there a little longer each time you practice!
