im interested in knowing the facts: how deep have you gone diving? and at how much pressure?

For every diver's safety, one should never go deeper than his comfort and training, w/c would mean not to go beyond 130ft, that is considered the maximum recreational level. I've gone once for 220ft. And i must admit it was pretty insane when i look back at it today!

i've gone as deep as 101 ft. that's my maximum depth so far. I definitely want to go deeper when i feel more comfortable, given the proper plan, diving conditions, and my level of experience. But for now, i dont intend to go much deeper than that. im comfortable, yes. but im not in a rush.

my record so far is 135ft. It was worth the dive and i wouldnt mind going deeper than that! And id want to take a specialty course on Nitrox first.

Interesting thread, i should say! I dont think a diver's maximum depth makes quite a big difference. Reaching a certain depth does not necessarily make one a better diver..
Well, my deepest dive was 210ft only to get photographs of what lies down there.. Because personally, the only reason i dive (perhaps for other drivers too) is to see & discover something i cannot see at shallow depths.

Well, the deepest i've gone to is 132ft. i must admit, that's the maximun depth im willing to dive down. i probably won't go any deeper for a while. my comfort level & skills may be ready for training..but my pockets & budget are not! haha

I am willing to go down no matter how deep as long as I feel comfortable doing so, within reasonable limits, of course! and like what the others said, it's just right to limit your diving to your own comfort zone. In my opinion, to dive deep just because u want to is non-sense.. bcz personally, i've been diving deep to see something cool, such as the wreck or the wall dive.. the deepest for me is 270ft.

there is an increase in risks as u increase your depth. and besides, depth does not really make any difference. You should know ur reason for going too deep, learn the risks, and plan ahead for possible diving equipment failure. However, they say that diving explorations lure many divers deeper, and that includes me! :D the typial dive of our group goes down til 250ft, but that always depends on our objectives. and in all honesty, going down is easy, but rising back up w/o getting hurt covers quite the challenge.
it's also more expensive since you need better regulators, more tanks, and helium.
